Load testing an online survey
I want to test our online survey with 100 Users. The survey is built on a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP) on an AWS server We are having intermittent problems with timeouts and I want to be able to log if, where and when the timeout occurs and for which "User" There are 56 questions in the survey, including three that require a written response. The written responses can all be the same "This is my opinion" I want each question to be answered after six seconds. ie the "Next" button is selected after six seconds. Each survey will therefore take about 10 minutes to complete. I do not need the Users to be simultaneous, but I do want the 100 Users to go online within 10 minutes. I may want to be able to run this test many times and easily adjust the number of Users and timing. I want you to talk me through the solution so that I can understand how to run it and make the changes I want to use an Open Source solution and be given the code.
