This project involves developing a configurable quotation and ordering system for a vehicle sales team. The key objectives are to allow sales representatives to quickly generate customizable quotes for customers across 5 different vehicle models. The quotes need to integrate an e-signature solution so customers can electronically sign and return the document. Upon receipt of the signed quote, the system will automatically generate both a customer confirmation and internal work order to kickstart the fulfillment process.
The sales team, consisting of 6 members, currently uses spreadsheets for vehicle pricing calculations and a standard quotation/order form. This manual process is inefficient and lacks traceability. The new cloud-based system will streamline operations by allowing reps to pull real-time pricing into a custom quote with a few clicks. Customers will be able to view equipment options, pricing breakdowns, and terms digitally before e-signing. Integration of an electronic signature API will provide a seamless digital experience for customers whilst ensuring document security and auditability for compliance purposes.
By automating repetitive tasks and streamlining communications, this project aims to boost sales team productivity, reduce errors and improve the customer experience. Real-time dashboards can also provide management with useful insights into pipeline, close rates and performance metrics. With a user-friendly interface and customizable workflow, the new system will optimize processes for a growing sales team of the future.
