I’m looking to develop an online quotation system for our sales team, who sell buses and coaches.
We currently use a spreadsheet to manage model specifications, which includes a base vehicle and around 10 configurable options. We need a user-friendly interface that allows the sales team to:
Select a vehicle model and apply configurable options
Automatically calculate pricing, including discounts and any special requirements
Optionally add a part exchange, collecting:
Registration number
Make and model
MOT expiry date
Agreed part exchange value
Input or select the salesperson’s name
Automatically generate and store a unique quotation number for each quote
There are 5 different vehicle models, each with slightly different configurations and options, so we expect this to involve 5 similar but distinct forms.
The system should then:
Generate a professional quotation with all selected details, including pricing
Email the quote to the customer with an embedded electronic signature solution
Once the customer approves and signs:
Create an internal order (PDF delivery note with no pricing) for the delivery team
Send a formal order confirmation to the customer
We're open to using Jotform or another suitable platform, but the system must be simple for the sales team to use and cost-effective for a team of around 11 users.
