Description

We're looking for a highly motivated Lead Software Engineer to join our engineering team. This candidate will collaborate across different parts of the organization to create end-to-end best-in-class customer experiences. This candidate will lead a team that builds customer-facing products and services that scale to a wide range of customers’ needs. The successful candidate will have a strong product engineering background and proficiency in Javascript, React, NodeJS. $200K Comp package W2 Must live in or willing to travel to Atlanta (negotiated at a later date) You enjoy fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where you can solve difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with other team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. You will help the team succeed by thinking about ways to improve processes, suggest ways to make the team more effective, and mentor and model engineering best practices. As a member of the core engineering group, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure high-quality and timely product releases. You are a hands-on technical resource who will be responsible for issues related to product features, performance, speed, scale, security, and accessibility. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Engineering. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership to innovate, design, and build applications that will scale and support our platform Work in JavaScript, Typescript, and React Lead a passionate agile development team of 4 to deliver engaging user experiences Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum software development practices, continuous integration, code reviews, and automated build processes Raise issues proactively that may impact delivery commitments Fix production issues and maintain the code as needed Address system issues as they relate to performance, scalability, and reliability Provide direction and supervision across multiple teams to influence architectural decisions and technology selection Work cooperatively with product management and design to create features that satisfy user needs with simplicity, consistency, and robustness Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase the team's productivity and efficiency Maintain and evolve the software architecture for current and future needs Stay current with the latest development best practices and share your findings with the team Basic Qualifications: B.S. in Computer Science or similar field of study 8+ years of overall software product development and or Cloud/SaaS/Enterprise software engineering experience 5+ years of experience building large-scale enterprise applications Must-Have Qualifications: Experience developing in React and Typescript Expert level, hands on experience in Javascript Experience defining and developing web service API’s Preferred Qualifications: Experience in node.js Experience building solutions hosted in Amazon Web Service Experience implementing accessible web applications Knowledge of SQL or similar query language Agile and Test-driven development methodologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Natural aptitude for both teaching and learning from others in a collaborative team environment Focused on intuitive consumer experiences and an innovative finance product along with data and research to help make the best decisions, we want to create a trustworthy, valuable place to track your vehicle assets.
