I’m looking for a detail-oriented proofreader to clean and verify the curated index of a nonfiction etiquette book. This first part includes the A–I section only (approximately 1/3 of the full index). If I’m happy with the results, I’ll continue working with you on the rest of the project.
Your task:
Polish the index entries based on a master reference (29-page author-created index).
Confirm accuracy of each entry and its page number using the manuscript.
Alphabetize and clean inconsistencies (e.g., capitalization, duplicates).
No layout formatting is needed — this is content-level proofreading only.
