The timber cross collars (100x75mm) make it challenging to get around the loft.For approval of building regulations, I require calculations and drawings to remove about 3 or 4 timber collars.I plan to replace them with small, high-level timber collars and side-bolted steel frames secured to the rafters.The attached section shows the roof timber dimensions
