Description

Hi- I am looking for someone to build a high-quality web app. I already have all the screens designed in Figma by great designers. The ideal dev candidate would be someone who can help bring them to life, and build in a way that can be easily expanded over time as we scale. There will need to be login creation for users, linking of database, and other features of course to make all this work. i need someone who can dedicate significant time to this to move quickly, not just a few hours a week. I have worked in Silicon Valley at one of the big social media companies for many years, and have fantatic designers and others on the team that can hopefully make this a professional experience for both of us.

The Challenge (Straight to It) LLMs shift fast. What worked last week might already be outdated today. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience fine-tuning and customizing LLMs for chatbot use cases — especially through APIs or local tools. You should be comfortable experimenting quickly, running real-world tests, and helping us decide what’s worth scaling. This isn’t a full-stack dev role or a finished product. It’s about building scrappy prototypes, validating what works, and moving fast. What You’ll Be Doing - Customize or fine-tune LLMs (via API or local setup) to test for tone, accuracy, and performance - Build lightweight chatbot prototypes to validate different approaches - Compare tools and models across speed, cost, and output quality - Explore hosted or local setups and recommend the best path forward - Work with our team to turn working tests into scalable next steps - Stay on top of LLM trends and releases — and help us adapt quickly You’re a Good Fit If: - You’ve fine-tuned or adapted an LLM to act like a chatbot - You’ve built quick tests or prototypes to validate model behavior - You understand local/self-hosted LLM basics (even without deploying one end-to-end) - You’re comfortable thinking in tradeoffs: cost vs. speed vs. quality - You learn fast, build fast, and explain your thinking clearly How to Apply ⚠️ We prioritize applicants who include a short video (max 5 minutes, camera on). In your video, walk us through a chatbot-related test or prototype you’ve worked on — even if it was just a rough setup. Show us: - What model/tool you used and how you customized it - What you were testing — and why - What worked, what didn’t, and what you’d change next time - Anything relevant: screen-share test outputs, tools, or notes If it’s a good match, we’ll send a short follow-up task. What You’ll Get - Ownership of real testing — not just implementation - Fast feedback and room to experiment - Remote, async work with a tight, focused team - A chance to directly shape which LLMs power our products next Final Note This isn’t a typical dev job. It’s for someone who loves making LLMs work in real chatbot settings — even if that means hacking things together to get results. If that sounds like your kind of work, we’d love to hear from you.
