Description

I seek an experienced proofreader to review a 500 word text and ensure it is grammatically correct, well punctuated and free of spelling errors. The copy requires meticulous editing to refine the language and ensure the writing clearly conveys the intended meaning.
The proofreader should have excellent skills in written English and the ability to identify ways to enhance the work through more sophisticated vocabulary choices or restructuring convoluted sentences for increased clarity and fluency. Minor changes to word choice, tense consistency, and logical flow should be marked up directly in the document.
Larger issues such as weak paragraph structure or themes that require further development may be noted separately. A final review is needed to catch any minor errors that were inadvertently overlooked in earlier rounds of editing. Feedback on overall writing style and areas for potential improvement will also be appreciated to help strengthen future versions of this text.
This is a carefully detailed project requiring a dedicated proofreader with a keen eye for both macro and micro-level editing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience assessing writing for professional contexts and an advanced understanding of grammar, usage and style guidelines. Please indicate your rate and availability for a target completion date within one week of receiving the document. I look forward to reviewing proposals from qualified proofreaders.

I am looking for the right individual to do a proofread (thought flow, grammar etc.) for my book. The book itself is my letter to the Church. I was once part of a group, and was forced to leave in late 2020. Last year, I typed out a 4 page letter and sent it out to 15 groups in the city not so far from me. I wanted to have a conversation with the leaders, on why decisions were made. Only 2/15 leaders responded back to me. As a result of the former, this book started to become a reality. More importantly, is the subject matter. The book itself is specifically that of the Church, and how COVID made an impact within. Additionally, I go into some history of political ideologies (Communism, Nazism) and a bit into the Masons). These are for the purpose of relating what was, to that of history. In saying the above, this book is not endorsing the Church, nor that of secularism. Rather, it is asking the hard questions, pointing out the obvious contradictions and such, and trying to get people to engage in dialogue. The scripture verses referenced and prayer, are for the purpose(s) of relating to those within the 4 walls. My experiences which are mentioned/explained, are based on real happenings. The ideal candidate will check of the following boxes. -very and completely objective -see/understand why I am trying to connect up various aspects to the main topics (COVID and the Church) -ensure proper thought/word/chapter flow etc. -suggest thought/word/chapter revisions if something is off/missing -keep the formatting as is (due to continuity with my other 2 books) As for the footnotes, I will do that up, once all the chapters are in order. Word Count: approx. 26, 000 Thank you in advance for all those who are interested in this project Joel P.S. I can provide samples on request.
