About The Opportunity
The Sr. Director Business Systems - Salesforce will be responsible for ensuring a strong and effective partnership with the assigned business functions in order to implement, enhance and support all existing systems and, in addition, plan for and execute new technology solutions that will enable growth and support their assigned business function. This role is also responsible for the strategic and tactical management of the IT Business Systems function and is the accountable spokesperson within IT for the Support, Services and Implementation functions.
Responsible for the management of critical systems within Salesforce including Service Cloud, Communities, Financial Force other key areas.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Lead a mix of internal and external personnel across multiple locations in multiple countries, and ensure the work being performed aligns with the highest priorities
- Ensure effective partnership with their Business function counterparts, to plan and execute new initiatives and provide responsive support for all existing systems
- Bring expert-level expertise as a trusted advisor to the business in understanding the needs and systems in the assigned business functions, and to proactively bring ideas and improvements. Experitse and partnership will have a significant and measurabale long-term impact on the performance and growth of the assigned business function(s).
- Jointly plan and prioritize all work with the business. Engage in SRP and LRP to ensure a priority set of initiatives is planned well in advance
- Lead and manage the team to provide business systems project delivery/implementation, enhancements, and application support. Also, ensure the applications within the portfolio are highly available, current, compliant, and performing well.
- Responsibility for the management of the execution of the SOX General Computing Controls (GCCs) that are aligned to the Business applications
- Responsibility for the overall planning and budget aligned to the portfolio
- Participation in vendor contracts and implementation SOWs. Ensure the contract (modules/licensing) and SOW activities aligns to the expectation of the software or service.
- Build effective partnerships across assigned business function(s) to plan, deliver and support our global business systems and our global growth strategy
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to establish current state and future state application architecture
- Partner with Enterprise Data and Integration for application to application data movement, and to align on reporting done within the applications versus reporting done through a data warehouse
- Develop a trusted relationship with key stakeholders and decision makers, understanding and responding to customer needs

Skills And Experience We Value
- A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or business
- 12-15+ years of relevant IT experience, with some experience managing an IT organization or business systems group in a global high-tech company
- 8+ years experience working with Salesforce SaaS software supporting a technology sales organization
- Experience with leading SaaS platforms, and other forms of service-based computing models
- Experience in managing SaaS vendor relationships and delivery commitments
- Ability to lead large teams and work in a matrix environment supporting business partners.
- Knowledgeable on IT solutions, trends in IT and experience evaluating/implementing new tools and solutions
- Experience in vendor management, contracts
- Strong track record in planning and prioritizing work with the business well in advance (rolling 12 month plan)
- Excellent business partnership, technology change management and project management skills
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across the enterprise to ensure IT Business System delivery expectations are met and priorities are set at the appropriate level.
- Demonstrated analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong executive presence and ability to work with all levels
- Strong relationship building and client advocacy skills
- Customer management and project management experience is required
