Data Operations Manager

As a Data Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leveraging our vast repository of data to create an accurate, robust, and up-to-date graph of data entities that power all of the core product features used by our customers. This position reports to our SVP of Data Operations and will work directly with our data scientists, analysts, and developers as a Scrum Product Owner (PO) in an agile Scrum team.

Responsibilities:

 
Own and prioritize a data development backlog and project delivery schedule to execute customer-focused roadmap deliverables.
 
Work closely with developers, analysts, and architects to fully understand available data, business logic, and structures.
 
Collaborate with product and data stakeholders to gather requirements needed to develop aggregated data, models, and algorithms to support our product suite.
 
Conduct and review data analysis, data profiling, and data mining using traditional statistical techniques to understand and strengthen our data capabilities.
 
Document requirements by writing user stories that align to product needs.
 
Define acceptance and data quality criteria and then guide the agile Scrum team to meet them.


Requirements:

 
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Statistics, Applied Math, or any other related engineering field.
 
5+ years of experience with product management, product development, and product ownership in data-focused organizations.
 
Experience with SQL for profiling and analyzing data sets.
 
Experience with open-source big-data tools such as AWS, Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, etc. preferred.
 
Experience with agile software development, such as Scrum and Kanban.
 
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
 
Experience with data related to public records, people, business, properties, etc. is highly preferred.
