Senior Software Engineer

Remote Software Engineer
Must be a US Citizen eligible to obtain a Secret level Clearance and work on military/government related programs.
The immediate work will be developing/designing tools for next-generation wide-band SATCOM satellite systems. 


Description/Responsibilities:

 
Utilize Kubernetes and supporting tools such as Helm to design, build, deploy and maintain the management, control, and data plane components of a high-performance edge system.
 
Automate system builds and configuration using Ansible, Bash and similar technologies.
 
Be willing to take on challenging design, development work and technically lead.



Additional Skills & Qualifications:

 
7+ or more years of software development experience with a backend programming language such as C , Rust, Go, Java or C#
 
Experience utilizing Kubernetes/Docker for container orchestration.
 
Experience with automation and CI/CD tools (Ansible, Bash, Terraform, Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.)
 
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree.



Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience with multi-threaded/parallel programming.
• Experience with lock-free algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with open-source software development experience.
• Experience with fine tuning Kubernetes and the underlying host OS for optimal performance in a low-latency environment.
• Experience with Continuous Delivery/Deployment pipelines and concepts.
• Experience working in an Agile or Kanban software development environment.
• Experience utilizing the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools.
