As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the frontend development efforts, driving technical excellence, and mentoring junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and implement scalable and innovative frontend solutions. What you will do

 
Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend systems, architectures, and frameworks to support the development of scalable web applications.
 
Provide technical leadership and guidance to frontend engineers, including code reviews, architectural reviews, and mentoring.
 
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality frontend solutions.
 
Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and design patterns to ensure the development of maintainable, performant, and scalable frontend codebases.
 
Architect and implement frontend infrastructure, tools, and processes to streamline development workflows and enhance productivity.
 
Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies, tools, and trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our technical stack and projects.
 
Champion and advocate for frontend engineering best practices, including accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
 
Troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
 
Collaborate with QA engineers to develop comprehensive test strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software.
 
Participate in strategic planning, roadmap development, and technical decision-making to align frontend initiatives with business goals and objectives.

What you will bring

 
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
 
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Frontend Software Engineer, with demonstrated expertise in architecting and building scalable web applications.
 
Extensive knowledge of modern frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and frontend frameworks/libraries: React.
 
Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns, state management, and design principles.
 
Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel), package managers (e.g., npm, Yarn), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
 
Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright – preferred, Jest, Enzyme, Cypress) and automated testing practices.
 
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
 
Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring junior engineers, leading technical initiatives, and driving projects to successful outcomes.
 
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
 
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with project management tools like Jira or Asana.
 
A passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in frontend engineering.

Nice to haves

 
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure, GCP)
 
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and SEO best practices.
