Marketing Assistant

At Legacy Tree Genealogists, we love helping people all over the world (in over 50 countries!) discover their heritage. We get up in the morning and do things like tell a client her birth father's name, connect cousins in China, and share documentation that an ancestor used an alias and actually fathered two families - at the same time, in two different countries. For over 15 years, we've been changing people's lives by answering some of their deepest questions about their family history.


Legacy Tree is growing (we've been recognized as one of Utah's 100 fastest growing companies, six years in a row!), and we need your help.
Although this is a remote position, we are primarily looking for candidates in the Salt Lake City, Utah area.


About You


You will be a great fit for this position if:

 
You have a bachelor's degree in a related field.
 
You are detail-oriented and have excellent editing and proofreading skills.
 
You have experience maintaining social media business accounts.
 
You love excelling at multiple projects at once.
 
You have an eye for design aesthetics.
 
You are an excellent communicator and comfortable with using phone and video conferencing (as well as email) to communicate with clients, partners, and team members.
 
You have a quiet place to work without distractions, a computer, and great internet.
 
You are available to work each week for 15-20 hours.



What you'll be doing at Legacy Tree:

 
Working with the marketing director to drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads, increasing engagement, and growing brand recognition over a variety of social media channels, utilizing industry best practices.
 
Managing and editing blog posts and promoting them through social channels.
 
Designing and editing advertising campaigns over a variety of mediums (digital & print) using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and Canva.
 
Writing and editing content for lead nurturing processes through email, and social channels.
 
Manage e-newsletter editing and delivery as well as managing the email database through GetResponse.
 
Assist with monthly reporting of marketing stats to the company directors.
 
Helping the marketing director to monitor and document a variety of marketing activities.
 
Having FUN with our awesome fully remote team!
 
Exploring and learning other aspects of the organization's marketing tasks as needed!

For this position, you will need to live in the United States (preferably in the Salt Lake City, Utah area), but as long as you have a quiet place to work and fast internet in your location, you may be considered.


Work When You Want
As part-time, this job will require 15-20 hours a week and you will need to be available each workday. We will try to be as flexible as we can be. We are serious about providing the highest quality genealogy research, and we're also serious about work-life balance. When you join us, we'll be asking to learn about your bucket list, and expecting to celebrate with you when you check something off.


Work with Great People
We may be a remote company, but when you're solving some of the toughest genealogy mysteries in the world or supporting those who do, there's a lot of cooperation that takes place. You'll get to know your team members pretty darn well. Some of your co-workers will be Heather (marketing director), Terra (sales manager and likely winner of "most helpful person" award), Danae (tech guru who we're still trying to convince to watch "The Office"), and Paul (genetic genealogy prodigy who has reunited hundreds of families). There are lots of others who you'll get to know, especially in our company chat Break Room and at our annual in-person retreats.
