ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Applicants must already be located in the U.S. and roles are not eligible for sponsorship. This role can be onsite in Columbia, MD or fully remote in any State in the U.S.

  • Interacting with the Customer Security teams.
  • Interacting with members of Avaya Global Security, Avaya product house security, and other applicable internal teams.
  • Drive closure of all audits (FedRAMP, internal or customer Security Audits) .
  • Work with internal and external technical teams to drive closure of any vulnerabilities , provide technical guidance if required. This includes O/S based cases right up to Applications hosted on these platforms.
  • Ensure best practices are implemented across the platforms.
  • Ensure that security-based SLA's are met.
  • Act as consultative SME on all security issues related to the project.
  • Act as Security Single Point of Contact (SPCO) on all security issues related to the project.

ABOUT YOU

EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of experience in information security as a team member/lead.
  • Candidate should have worked in operational and/or consulting and/or auditing roles.
  • Candidate should have a wide-breadth experience across all areas of information security.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Practical knowledge of application, database, operating system (Linix and windows), virtualization and network security.
  • Design secure architecture as per client's requirement.
  • Ensure CIA of information at all levels
  • Implement hardening standards at each level.
  • Extensive knowledge of firewalls, UTMs, IPS, WAF and associated technologies.
  • Integration of elements with SIEM and it's management
  • Management of anti-malware and data leakage prevention technologies
  • Acts as expert in mitigation/closure of vulnerabilities in each system
  • Exception management
  • Incident Response and escalations
  • Experience in implementation of security controls as per industry standard(s) such as FedRAMP E
  • Ensure best practices are included in call center operations management.
  • Prepare and implement processes in sync with standards and client's requirements.
  • Maintain documentation as per SoW/SSP
  • Management of internal and external security audits as per SoW.
  • Experience in dealing with global customers
  • Act as single point of contact for all security related matters.
  • Interact proactively with clients
  • Take approvals wherever necessary.
  • Experience in dealing with global operations team
  • Should have capability to guide operations team for mitigation/closure of vulnerabilities in systems.
  • Support teams in implementing security systems
  • Perform risk assessment and recommend/guide management for continual improvements in overall security stance of project.
  • Should possess skills to impart information security awareness.
  • Must have experience in handling various security tools.

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.
