1. What is the Bot Doing:
The bot, "My Bot," is an automation tool designed to increase social media engagement for a brand. It performs actions such as liking, following, and commenting on posts related to specific hashtags, brands, and influencers to attract and interact with potential followers. The bot aims to streamline engagement processes, enhance visibility, and grow the follower base by automating routine tasks.
Current Issues:- The bot is not logging in properly, leading to failed actions.- Existing sessions are not utilized, resulting in repeated unnecessary logins.- The bot attempts to perform actions without proper authentication, causing errors and non-compliant behavior.- It displays unhandled errors and debugging code, making it unreliable and unable to run unattended.
2. Social Media Platforms:
The bot is intended to operate on the following social media platforms:- Instagram: Primary platform where the bot currently operates, engaging with posts, followers, and hashtags.- TikTok: Planned integration for automating interactions on TikTok, including likes, follows, and comments.- Facebook: Future support is required to extend the bot’s functionality to Facebook, focusing on similar engagement activities.
3. Code Stack:
- Programming Language: Python- Automation Framework: Selenium WebDriver for browser automation and interaction with social media platforms.
Requirements:- Proficiency in Python and Selenium.- Experience with browser automation and handling session management in web applications.- Ability to debug and handle errors effectively.- Understanding of social media platform algorithms and compliance guidelines.
Project Goal:To fix the critical issues identified, ensure that the bot reliably logs in and maintains sessions, and expand its functionality to additional social media platforms, making it a robust tool for automating social media engagement for the brand.
