I’m seeking a skilled illustrator to create a series of 66 full-color cartoon illustrations, each sized 11.25" x 8.75" (landscape format), for a unique creative project that blends visual storytelling with business allegory. OVERVIEW - The project is a modern take on a classic fairy tale — “The Fable of the Lion and the Monkey” — a satirical and slightly irreverent story in the style of a fractured fairy tale. While the tone has a contemporary, biting edge, the visual style should feel timeless: think traditional Disney animation, especially the look and feel of The Jungle Book or The Lion King. SCOPE OF WORK - --66 total illustrations --52 are full-page scenes --14 pages include multi-panel layouts (2–4 smaller boxes per page for dialogue-heavy sequences) --All illustrations should be vibrant, expressive, and character-driven --Each image must be delivered at 11.25" x 8.75", 300 DPI, with full bleed for print --The artwork will be used in a live stage presentation and later published as a children’s book SUPPORT AND REFERENCE MATERIALS PROVIDED - To guide the illustration process, you will be given: --A full storyboard with rough sketches and detailed notes for each illustration --Reference images for character design and jungle environments --The complete unedited story transcript to understand the tone and flow of the narrative STYLE REQUIREMENTS --Art should evoke the classic Disney animation aesthetic --Emphasis on expressive characters, fluid composition, and a rich, storybook jungle setting COMPENSATION & CREDITS --$25 USD per illustration, totaling $1,650 USD --Payment will be issued in milestones of $125 USD per every 5 illustrations completed --This is a work-for-hire arrangement.
