Description

We’re looking for a EN to NL translator / copywriter / proof-reading whizz to help us with our Dutch marketing and product copy.
We’ll pay you by the hour - we estimate this to be 10 hours per month, however this may change month to month.
Great opportunity for those looking to work on a contract basis long-term.
What you’ll be doing
• The main job is to proof and tweak our copy from EN to NL, although you may be asked to write from time to time.• We’ll share our Tap voice and tone guidelines as well as examples so you can deliver copy that captures who we are as a brand.• You’ll be working on a range of content across our customer touchpoints, from marketing channels like SEO and SEM to helping users navigate our app or website.• Work within a 2 business day turnaround from request to copy delivery – we appreciate any flexibility for quicker turnarounds if urgent.
About you
• Must be native Dutch and English (C2).• You’ve wrangled with character count and won without losing the meaning of the original text.• You always keep in mind who the copy is for - we have a whole range of customers from electric vehicle drivers, charger owners to installers.• You have strong attention to detail• You can work on your own, but involve others in what you do. You’ll be working directly with our growth team.• You’d like to work on a contract basis with us longer-term
FYI: Since we’d like to work with you longer-term – it’s important for us to have a video call to make sure we’re the right fit.
Nice to haves
• Experience working with marketing channels, particularly SEO and SEM.• You’ve helped users with your UX / UI copy before.• You’ve flirted with startups in the past and enjoy working in this environment.
Who is Tap Electric?Tap is an e-mobility startup based in the heart of Amsterdam, connecting drivers to chargers for seamless car charging. Our mission is to deliver brilliant driver experience at the intersection of grid and mobility.
Tap was founded in late 2020 by two charging software veterans, Nico and Dan, who saw that the charging UX for EV drivers was broken. They bootstrapped their way to building 2 key products: a driver app that enables really simple payments on a huge network of chargers; and a platform for charger owners and installers to manage their chargers and collect payments. Tap is live in Netherlands, Belgium and the UK with thousands of satisfied users. At Tap, we believe that the intersection of energy and mobility has unlocked the next great wave of technological innovation, and we are here for it. Join us!

I am having a single landing page developed but require the content written to be concise and engaging making people want to read more, and understand my company what the products are, and how they will benefit resulting in asking if can they afford not to use such products. The products are designed specifically to insure against a company breaching Article 12 of the Data Protection Act due to the loss of their client's data being compromised. This will result in loss of business due to loss of reputation with their clients, and loss of business performance due to channeling resources into reporting to their clients due to a potential data breach of their clients which is a legal requirement due to the Data Protection Act. There are legal ramifications of a breach such as litigation from their clients resulting from their data being compromised and also an investigation from the Information Commissioner's Office resulting in large fines from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands in fines imposed by the ICO. To get an idea AXA Insurance published data on this which can be seen from the link below. https://www.axa.co.uk/business-insurance/business-guardian-angel/five-reasons-why-a-lost-laptop-is-no-laughing-matter/ The page will need to have a strong hook line, then a single paragraph on what we do and how can we help, a mission statement. Then the products with a small description. The word count will be around 500 words. The wording will need to be as succinct as possible along with being engaging. I have also attached a short promo video of one of my products to give an idea. I hope this helps.
