I require expert assistance in debugging a replication issue between data sources utilizing the Apache Kafka streaming platform. Specifically, a Kafka connector has been configured to replicate data changes from a MySQL database serving as the source into a MariaDB database intended to function as the sink or destination. Although the source connectors appear operational and are detecting data modifications, the corresponding sink tasks meant to replicate these changes into MariaDB have stalled out and are failing to transfer the data in real-time as intended. An experienced Kafka administrator or engineer is needed to evaluate the current replication setup, review logs and configuration of all involved systems, identify any inconsistencies or errors preventing proper replication, and recommend optimal solutions for resolving the blocking issue to resume smooth transfer of data modifications from the MySQL source to the MariaDB target database through the Kafka connectors and streams.
