Create a modern take on a traditional school logo

Description

We are seeking a talented designer to create a modernized version of our existing school crest/logo. Our goal is to retain the classic elements of the existing design, such as the wings, bugle, and bow/rope, while giving it a fresh and contemporary feel. The updated logo will be used on all school uniforms, website, stationery, and other promotional materials.
The distinctive school blazers are a pale blue and this is very much the colour associated with the school identity.
We are open to suggestions and recommendations regarding the typography, and overall design. However, we kindly request that the design remains true to the traditional prep school aesthetic and incorporates the school's mascot, colours, and symbols. Most important are the 'Golden wings' element of the loge as children are awarded golden wings badges for special achievements.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles and be able to work collaboratively with our school administration to ensure that the final design meets our expectations. We are looking for a designer who can bring creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for their work to this project.
