I’m looking for an Unreal Engine 5 developer to help create a mouse-guided, physics-based sword control system for a medieval combat game prototype (similar in style to Half Sword).
The goal is to let the player move the sword freely with the mouse, with realistic physical interactions (collisions, weight, constraints).
Responsibilities:Set up physics-based sword control using mouse input
Configure constraints/physics assets for realistic motion
Implement collisions and physical interactions with characters/objects
Use Blueprints and/or C++ (your choice)
Provide clean, documented work
Requirements:Solid experience with Unreal Engine 5
Knowledge of Physics Assets, Constraints, Physical Animation
Ability to make mouse input drive realistic sword movement
Good communication
Project Details:Indie prototype (initial milestone or hourly work)
Fully remote
Paid contract (rate negotiable based on experience)
