Description

We are designing a website and want to outsource some of the elements, including a complex navigation, advanced carousels for content, and animations. We will start the applicant with one of these projects and see how things go. For the first project we will also turn ON project tracking (if you are uncomfortable with that, please do NOT apply to this job). If the work is good, we will proceed to the other elements.
The first element needed is a top navigation similar to : https://asana.com/ (when we discuss hours, we will provide a full documented brief outlining what we need to do)The code must be clean and SEO friendly. We would prefer straight CSS, but understand JavaScript may be necessary for certain elements (following SEO best practices for JavaScript). We prefer to not use pre-packaged scripts (i.e. NO BOOTSTRAP). The code does NOT need to be written from scratch, and pre-written code can be adapted and edited. For example, there are similar menus on CodePen (i.e. https://codepen.io/sunmughan/pen/KvGpbx) that can be modified to save time. Hence, this is NOT a 20 hour project.
Note: We've had a handful of applicants say that it would take over a month to code, which is completely ridiculous. We have a team of programmers here that will review your application. Exaggerated or excessive estimates will be rejected.
We would require all work to be presented to us in CodePen, so we can easily take the code and add it to our site ourselves. We require efficient programmers that can provide streamlined and optimized code.
Please answer the following when applying to this project...----------------------------------------------------1. Fluent English2. Available during EST hours if we have questions/comments. (We do not want someone overseas, that is sending us emails at 3am, and not responding to our emails during the day.3. Expert in CSS, jquery and HTML 5.4. If you are applying for this position, the first line of your cover letter should say "Fluent English, US applicant". If the first line does not say this, we will assume either you did not read this post ... you are not fluent in English ... or you are using a bot to respond to posts.5. Confirm that you are able to code a menu similar to https://asana.com/ and the other code example above.6. Confirm that you have no problem using CodePen7. Show examples of your work. No applicants will be accepted if they can't provide any examples of CSS/Jquery programming.
Sorry to be so strict with our criteria, but we are often flooded with unqualified applicants, people that do not speak English, or people that do not meet our criteria.
