I am seeking a skilled freelance graphic designer to add an icon to the branding of a new dating application currently under development. The app aims to facilitate meaningful connections between like-minded singles through thoughtful profiles and ice-breaking conversation starters.
At present, the branding consists of a minimalist wordmark utilizing a simple sans-serif typeface in three shades of blue. While this helps convey the app's emphasis on clarity and ease of use, it lacks a visual symbol to represent the core concept. An iconic symbol has potential to resonate more intuitively with users at a glance.
The ideal design should leverage simplicity yet convey a sense of interaction between individuals. Profile pictures or silhouettes of people could work but the solution needs be subtly suggestive rather than overtly representational. Color palette and style should coordiante seamlessly with existing branding. Deliverables will include vector files of the final icon at multiple sizes for app icons, marketing imagery and merchandise.
Experience designing iconic symbols for mobile apps or dating/social media brands is preferred. A portfolio showcasing strong visual idea generation and ability to distill complex concepts into minimal, recognizable forms will be an asset.
