Branding / UI Look & Feel for Car Website

We are making a new website to allow people to buy and sell their cars in the UK.
We have a very basic template already live but it looks extremely boring like a standard "cookie cutter" design.
I am looking for a design and branding expert to work with our web developer create a concept for colours, fonts, positioning etc.
I would like to make something that has a distinctly unique look and feel rather than a site that feels like a copy of autotrader.co.uk. Autotrader is kind of bland and "safe". I wonder if we could make something a bit more "cheeky"/querky that people want to engage with more so looking for a car feels more exciting.
I would like the winning bidder to work directly with our web developer with fast turnaround on the back and forth to get the design right.
