You must live in Africa.
Your responsibilities for this project, once the equipment is set up, will be very minimal (e.g. carrying out small tasks like resetting our phones and purchasing sims, making sure the phone is online for us to connect remotely etc.) It's a great way to earn some passive income. We pay a monthly fee of 100 EUR.
You would be hosting 1 android phone. We work alongside a compliance company that monitors mobile ads around the world for mobile operators (like Orange, Tigo, Express, Zain, etc.) and content providers, in other words, we check ads on phones and make sure they are compliant. We make sure that our clients are following the correct norms and regulations in the countries they publish their ads. We achieve this by connecting remotely to phones located where our clients are publishing their ads in this case in Africa.
If you would like to join our growing community of equipment minders let us know.
(We are preferably looking for staff who have a Samsung phone that they are not using, as we need these devices for our work operations. However, if you don't have one we can provide you with a device)

We have a small website which consists of six pages. The website was built with Joomla. It doesn't have any advanced features: the pages are static and merely have text and pictures to do with our service. There is a blog accessible on one page. The Joomla has three extensions. Two of these need to be updated to the latest versions: RSFirewall! and JCE 2.9.55. We need to upgrade this website from Joomla 3.10.11 to the latest version of Joomla. We would ideally like 5.0.1 but if that is not possible then the latest working 4.xx. This upgrade needs to be done meticulously making sure that: - FULL backup is made of the website, its files and its databases is made first that can be readily restored by you. We have already got Akeeba Backup extension installed for easy backups - step-by-step migration from Joomla 3.10 to the latest version our website will work on - upgrade PHP 7.4.33 to PHP 8.2 - one click button available on web host's control panel The reason for this Joomla upgrade is because our webhost has stated we must upgrade to PHP 8.2. They have a one-click button in their custom interface which enables this to be very easily done. However, our website stops working when we upgrade the PHP version to PHP 8.2. The web host has stated this is because we have an older version of Joomla, therefore we need to be upgrade to the most recent one. To confirm, you must ensure our website is fully functional when it is upgraded to PHP 8.2. We would like to this task completed in 7 days/one week. If you can't complete it in that time-frame please DO NOT apply to do this assignment. See attached screenshot of the Joomla interface. Please state approximately how many websites you have upgraded the Joomla version on. As most freelancers here don't bother to read the description, please quote 'JOOMLAUPGRADE' in your response. If you do not do so, you will not be considered for this project. This is an initial 'test' project. We have several more Joomla websites and, if you are a good communicator and do an excellent job, we will hire you regularly and pay you generously for other projects. Bonus additional payment if you do this task brilliantly. Thank you.
