I am looking for someone who is knowledgeable about financial entitlements for children with SEND. I run a Charity, 2 social enterprises and a business. Some of the work we do is free, but others at the moment we can only offer to schools or people paying privately. I have been told there is money available, but not enough providers to spend it on, for things like direct payments and respite. I need someone who already knows a lot about this, but is willing to ring up support organisations to clarify if needed. Who can put together a 1-2 page guide on the types of financial support for families of children with SEND, who may be eligible and how they can be used. I have a few different activities that parents have asked for help with funding for, so you would need to also check to see whether its possible to use these for direct payments and how to do this

I am in the process of setting up a new company as well which I hope will drive things forward and towards my retirement in 6 years time. The company name is BrightBags Education and First Aid Services – the derivation is based on the fact that I’m a Bright Spark (Spaak) and the person working with me is a Baggott. We are going to be providing First Aid Training and CPD for therapists – People mistakenly believe that education stops when you leave school or University however education is lifelong and its really important that we demystify this and I honestly believe that First Aid should be part of the general curriculum and if we can work with schools on this (in the longer term) that would be a fantastic bit of progress. I need a tag line to describe what I’m going to be doing that I want to be really catchy but really describes the passion of what I am trying to achieve. Then a Copy will be needed for the new website. Education Should be split into 2 main headings:- 1) CPD For Therapists – Physios, Sports Therapists, Sports Massage Therapists, Osteos Chiros etc…. The main areas I’m looking at are:- a. Performing Arts – Probably a chat about what this is about will help. b. Hydrotherapy c. Masterclasses 2) First Aid Training a. Emergency First Aid at Work b.
