Objective: Develop a camera control system in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) for an existing environment with two animated characters. The system will feature two cameras orbiting around each character, triggering rain effects at specific points in the orbit. The camera viewpoints will be displayed simultaneously using split-screen, with an option to toggle the full view between cameras. Camera Setup: Two Cameras: Each camera will orbit around one of the two animated characters on an editable circular path (adjustable radius). Orbit Control: Camera 1 controlled by the Q (anticlockwise) and E (clockwise) keys. Camera 2 controlled by the T (anticlockwise) and U (clockwise) keys. Stimulate press key K to toggle between cameras Rain Trigger: Implement a boundary check on the orbit path. When a camera crosses the halfway point, trigger rain FX around the corresponding character. Removal of Third-Person Character: Remove the existing third-person player character to focus entirely on the first-person camera views of the two animated characters. UDP Controller Integration: The existing UDP controller will be updated to match the new camera controls. The controller will gather touch data from two capacitive Arduinos, which will move the cameras clockwise or anticlockwise based on user input. Deliverables: - Two cameras orbiting each animated character with key-based controls (Q, E for Camera 1 and T, U for Camera 2). - Toggle between the two cameras using the K key. - Boundary-based rain effect trigger for each camera. - Update and fix the UDP controller for seamless Arduino-based touch input integration. This project will provide a real-time, interactive camera control system with UDP communication for Arduino-based input on a single computer. Custom Camera controller already exists. UDP controller BP already exists. 2 characters with animations already exist.
