“ Hey Hunters, Wouldn't it be cool if you could search for job opportunities based on the change you want to see in the world instead of only the boring hard and soft skills? During the pandemic, I asked myself this question when I felt hopeless, sought meaning, and felt a deep urge to help the world. I knew about the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Still, I hadn't read about it that much in the last few years until I found an article that wrote that the pandemic had significant adverse effects on the achieved goals during and after the pandemic. Poverty increased; quality education decreased; inequality up; financial stability down; etc. etc. Time for action! How could I help? Should I consider a career change? How can I find a job in sustainability without losing my vast experience in web development? As always (what most indie makers do), I started fiddling with some ideas and prototypes and started my research. Since the SDGs consist of a solid framework with multiple goals, targets and indicators and even a bespoke design library, this would become my starting point! The result is a new job platform that makes it possible to search for jobs organised around the Sustainable Development Goals. It offers a way to do a basic search and view jobs by SDG. In the future, I hope to be able to improve the platform by adding more filters and search possibilities. Please have a look and let me know what you think!
